Floran Village is a location to the south from Dion. There are no Clan Halls, no castle. Part of Dion territory. Village is a guardless peace zone, it's perfectly safe for Player Killers.
Floran History
During an extremely cold winter unpleased by high taxes Town of Dion's peasants rised against Duke Byron Ashton. The Duke decided to crush the rebellion by force.
At first he decided to use the Snark Army against the peasants. Snarks is the cruelest gang of mercenaries in Aden. Everybody fears them. But this plan was ruined by guard Rovelt and his three friends. They stole Duke's gold - payment to Snarks.
Then the Duke hired Soul Collector Acheron, a mad mercenary leader. Somebody told Acheron that he would become immortal if he gathers a vast amount of souls and sacrifices them to Shilen, death goddess.
As a result, Acheron with his men eliminated many people and even Duke Ashton was surprised by his cruelness. He executed the insane mercenary having realized that dead peasants don't pay taxes.
By that time Acheron had destroyed nearly almost every single peasant in Dion's realm. Survivers formed independent communities and named it Floran Village - a place where free people live without any taxes or corvee.
Of course it would have been better for the rebels to hide in mountain keeps, but they weren't ready to abandon their old lives and rested in the village on Dion plains, often becoming an easy prey for monsters or marauders.
There are no permanent guards in Floran, so it makes the village very attractive to adventurers with bad reputation. That's why the farmers created militia led by Captain Alex, a former scout of Aden's Royal Army, and his aide Leirynn.
