If you have the equipment you don’t need anymore, you can crystallize it and get crystals of the corresponding grade. Though simple, the process of crystallization has some special techniques.

In Goddess of Destruction - Awakening addition you can receive not only crystals, but also materials for making items and parts of rare soul crystals if you crystallize new items of R grade and higher.

Crystallization skills

To crystallize items, you need to have a special skill. Blacksmiths and Bounty Hunters traditionally help players get it. However in Goddess of Destruction - Awakening update all characters automatically receive crystallization skill (the race doesn’t matter) after Awakening.

How to crystallize

If a character has crystallization skill, a crystallization icon appears in the left down corner of the inventory. To crystallize, drag an item to this icon. A popup will appear, asking you to confirm whether you want to crystallize the item. Be sure that even if you’ve dragged the item on the icon by mistake you’ll be asked for confirmation. It prevents accidental elimination of your items. Moreover, you won’t be able to eliminate an item even if your character doesn’t have crystallization skills (before Awakening).

Crystallizing Grade R items or above

While crystallizing items grade R or above, you can get not only crystals grade D, but also Enchant Scrolls, resources for making items and parts of Rare soul crystals. Your chance of getting additional items depends on the type of the items. The lowest chance is when you crystallize bound items. When you crystallize general items the chance is bigger, and the biggest chance is when you crystallize blessed items.

The additional items you get depend on the item you crystallize – its type and grade. You can get weapon enchant scrolls when you crystallize weapon, and armor enchant scrolls when you crystallize armor.
