Blazing Swamp is located to the north from the Town of Aden. It’s an infernal sea of fire covered with melted rocks, but from outside is looks just the same as any swamp. However Pa'agrio has made his contribution to the environment, so the dwellers of the swamp are quite special. All of them are masters of fire magic. King Raul ordered his servants to dig a ditch around the swamp so the fire wouldn’t spread to the surrounding territories. People say that long time ago there was a beautiful garden laid out by the Elves as a token of friendship between their race and the Humans. The most beautiful thing in the garden was a huge tree in the middle. The tree belonged to the same origin as the Mother Tree from Elven Village. But then came the war. Pa'agrio discharged all his might upon the place. The trees, once beautiful, have turned into smoldering stubs (and some people say those stubs have become alive and still wander around the burnt valley), and the burning body of the huge tree is still smoking in the middle of the valley.

Guide

Blazing Swamp hunting zone has changed dramatically in the Ertheia update: now it is a solo hunting zone for characters of level 97 and above.

1.The zone consists of lots of small pits.
2.The pits are populated with special monsters that change depending on the depth of a pit.
3.There are several pit stages:

  • Initial Stage: lava on pit's ground is pulsing - pit is unstable.
  • Defense Reduction — Middle Stage: lava becomes calm for a short period of time - pit is stabilizing.
  • The monsters are not changed, but they are weakened by Defense Decrease debuff: for 10 minutes P./M. Def. -20%.
  • Ifrit's Wrath — Final Stage: lava is extintct - the pit is stable.

  • The mosters are changed: they have more M. and P. Def. and give more XP and SP.

How to change stages:

  • There is a progress bar in the middle of the screen that grows as a player kills monsters in the area.
  • One killed monster within one pit will give 1 point to the progress bar. The maximum number of points is 200.
  • Each pit has its own stage and progress bar. For example, if you have 200 points in one pit you can move to another and continue hunting and enhancing your progress with this second pit.
  • Progress bar is common in some cases. For example, if one player scores 100 points in a certain pit and after some time another players comes to this pit he/she will start with 100 points.
  • But if several players are hunting in the same pit each of them will have his/her own progress bar.
  • Progress bar is filled with a slight delay of (5-10 seconds).

Changing of the stages:

  • When the progress reaches its maximum of (200 points), initial stage switches to middle stage Defense Reduction which is 10 minutes long. During this stage there is no progress bar.
  • After 10 minutes the middle stage Defense Reduction switches to the final stage Ifrit's Wrath which is also 10 minutes long. During this stage there is no progress bar.
  • Depending on the number of killed monsters on Ifrit's Wrath stage, the player can achieve a certain rank. Monsters in the pit will warn each other on the danger and player's rank: Low, Normal or High.
  • Depending on the rank, monster will debuff player with a certain level of Fire Stigma ((from 1 to 5)). The higher the rank - the higher the debuff level.
  • During hunting under this debuff there is a chance to meet a special monster Blazing Saurus that gives more Xp and SP.

Although it has the body of a monster erupting lava all over, it used to be an obedient golem that followed Hardin like a father. It went crazy after Hardin left this Swamp of Flames with the thought that it was deserted.
