Equipment Upgrade System allows players to exchange items of the same grade for items of a higher grade.

General Info
- Equipment is exchanged via Head Blacksmith Ferris in the Town of Aden.
- There are different types of upgrade: Rare (dimansional and rare items), common (grades D~A), special (grade S).
- Only certain items can be exchanged: Only items of the highest level within a grade can be upgraded to a higher grade. For more info, see: Equipment which can be upgraded.
- To exchange, you need an item from the list of the equipment which can be upgraded, a special item: Varnish of a cartain grade, and gemstones of the same grade. You’ll also need to pay a certain amount of adena.
- Weapon enchantment value should be between +12 and +35.
- Armor enchantment value should be between +10 and +25.
- Accessory enchantment value should be between +8 and +20.
- After exchanging the enchantment value will change:
- Enchantment of the obtained items grade D~A will be reduced by 1.
- Enchantment of the obtained items grade S will be +0.
- Augmented equipment, equipment with runes or sealed items cannot be exchanged.
- Chances of successful upgrade depend on the item grade and its enchantment value:
- Chances of successful upgrade of items grade D~A are 100%.
- Chances of successful special upgrade of items to grade S depend on the enchantment value of the item being upgraded: the higher the enchantment level, the greater the chances. For successful enchantment your character will also get a bonus reward:
Scroll: Enchant S-grade Weapon and 
Scroll: Enchant S-grade Armor (the amount of scrolls depend on the enchantment value).
- Gloves, boots and helmets when upgrading armor grade B-A get upgraded as sealed.
- You can choose either upper or lower armor as material to upgrade full armor, however, you’ll get full armor as the result of upgrading it.
Equipment which can be upgraded
Only items of the highest level within a grade can be upgraded to a higher grade.
How to obtain varnish
- Common varnish is required to upgrade items within the same grade.
- Elite varnish is required to upgrade items to the next grade,
- Special varnish is required to upgrade items from grade A to grade S.

Process of upgrading
- Talk to Ferris in the Town of Aden and choose the line: "Learn about equipment upgrade", and choose a type of upgrade. A window will open showing the items suitable for upgrade.
- Choose the item to be upgraded: the upgrade window will display all the items required for upgrade and adena, and the possible results of upgrade.
- If your character has all the necessary items in the inventory, the Upgrade button will become active.
- Press the Upgrade button to exchange.
